The Costello College of Business online MBA program jumped 19 spots with a new ranking of #55 nationally for Best Online MBA (#41 among public universities) from U.S. News & World Report out of the 355 degree-granting distance-education programs surveyed.
In addition, the Online MBA Program jumped 16 spots from last year for Best Program for Veterans, landing at #34 nationally (#30 among public universities). This new ranking places the Costello online MBA program #1 in Virginia for veterans.

For the 2025 Best Online MBA rankings, U.S. News & World Report ranked institutions based on engagement, peer assessment, faculty credentials and trainings, student excellences, and services and technologies.
In addition to the online MBA rankings, Costello’s MS in Accounting program also rose six spots on the Best Online Business Programs to #56 nationally (#39 among public universities), out of the 205 programs surveyed. Similar to the Best Online MBA rankings, U.S. News & World Report ranked Best Online Business Programs based on engagement, faculty credentials and trainings, student excellences, services and technologies, adding in expert opinion in place of peer assessment.
