Costello College of Business Scholarships

Coming into the Costello College of Business thinking that she wanted to be an entrepreneur and build her own business, Yodae Muleta’s perspective changed once she took a few accounting courses. Since then, she has participated in internships and found that she wants to pursue a career in the risk consulting field.

Receiving the Janis S. Reed Scholarship sharpened the focus even more for the goal-oriented Anh Tran. Wrapping up her final semester as an undergraduate student in accounting and completing the bachelor’s to accelerated master’s (BAM) program, she already had her eyes on the larger picture.

The Costello College of Business at George Mason University, in partnership with the Deloitte Foundation, offers a limited number of full scholarships to select students pursuing the Costello master’s in accounting for the 2025-26 academic year. Rachel Absolu, a senior studying accounting at the Donald G. Costello College of Business at George Mason University, was awarded the Kearney and Company Scholarship in Accounting for the academic year of 2023–2024. Accounting alumnus Jae Hoon Jeong, who graduated in December 2023, received the Accounting Excellence Scholarship and James R. Beers Endowed Scholarship during his final academic year.

The scholarship luncheon, held each fall by the Donald G. Costello College of Business at George Mason University, brings together scholarship donors with the student recipients of those scholarships. On Tuesday, November 7, the latest group of donors and awardees gathered to build connections and share inspiration.

Accounting undergraduate student Natalie Nguyen continues to address the needs of others while experiencing her own personal growth during her academic journey at the School of Business.

Always helping underserved communities both near and far, Venkat Kodumudi, MBA ’10, and his wife Dr. Mysore Maitri have founded the Prema Endowed Scholarship to support School of Business students at the institution that they greatly value.

Emerging Business Leader Award recipient Kimberly Biscoe chose Mason's MBA program to help her take her career to the next level.
