DOGE Executive Orders Center for Government Contracting

Outlines an intensive federal policy for improving transparency and accountability in government spending. Agency heads are asked to build a central technology system to record all payments for grants and contracts, which will require written justification. DOGE will undertake comprehensive reviews of agency contracting policies, procedures, and personnel.

Aims to set the stage for a more reliable domestic supply chain of copper and reduce reliance on foreign imports of copper. Initiates a major report on the impact of U.S. dependence on copper imports on national security—copper is widely used in various military applications.

Underscores efforts to combat federal overreach and overly administrative regulations. All agency heads are asked to identify programs that allow illegal immigrants to obtain any funding or benefits and take relevant action to better align programs with federal law. DOGE is involved in this effort to identify federal funding for illegal immigrants and recommend actions for meeting the requirements of the order.

Aims to reduce the overall size of the federal government to promote efficiency and reduce spending, eliminating or reducing several specific advisory committees and other entities including the Presidio Trust, Inter-American Foundation, U.S. African Development Foundation, and US Institute of Peace.

Increases executive branch oversight of all executive departments and independent agencies. The Director of OMB is required to establish performance standards and management objectives for independent agency heads, and report periodically to the president on their efficiency.

Outlines a plan for using DOGE to reduce the size of the federal bureaucracy, with the intent of reducing unnecessary hiring and positions. Includes a hiring freeze with exemptions for positions related to public safety.

Rolls back the authorities of FCPA enforcement against American citizens and businesses. Calls for a policy of increased oversight on FCPA investigations and efficient use of federal law enforcement resources regarding this law.

Creates the White House Faith Office to address domestic policy on faith-related matters and practices. Endorses faith-based entities to be eligible for contracts and other federal funding opportunities.
